OK, we agree that cooking oatmeal isn't rocket science. But we do think that choosing the right bowl can make a difference. Here's why:

Avoid Boilover

Ever had this happen, leaving your microwave an oatmeal mess? You can avoid this by choosing a big enough bowl. We recommend a volume of 16 ounces or more.

Avoid Chemical Leaching

Another reason to use microwave-approved bowls. Did you know that some cheap plastic bowls can actually leach chemicals into your food while microwaving? We think you'll like our oatmeal better without the chemicals.

Avoid Burned Hands

The microwave dings. Your oatmeal looks delicious. You grab it and ... Ouch! Ouch! Bad way to start your day. Make sure you're using microwave-safe bowls, usually made out of glass, ceramic or silicone.
