Huntingdon County, PA offers miles of buttery smooth singletrack. However, eight year old little girls need something a little more tame to develop their riding skills. This trail network offers great fireroads that travel between this flag pole and the Juniata College Peace Chapel…an environmental landscape designed by Maya Lin to promote peaceful conflict resolution(she also designed the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C.). Branching off along the way are short loops of single track that allow younger riders to build confidence in their cycling skills. As a bonus, I get to teach my daughter about all that the stars and stripes represent at one end of the ride and all about peaceful conflict resolution when we reach the Peace Chapel at the other end of the ride.
